  Milkco, Inc. is one of only 146 businesses in North Carolina in the OSHA SHARP Program. SHARP stands for Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program. SHARP is a Program that recognizes small and mid-size employers who have developed and maintained effective Safety & Health Programs. Milkco has been a proud member of this Program for 10 years. The Program requires the employer to abate all hazards identified by OSHA consultants, score well on the safety & health assessment conducted by OSHA, and maintain injury/illness rates below the national average for our industry. As a SHARP site, we have ongoing Safety & Health Programs that have actively encouraged employee involvement, have lowered lost workday rates below the national average, have met established goals for improving the Safety & Health Programs, and have acted quickly to correct identified hazards in the workplace.
